The first mark of General Optica, with a symbol as the human eye, accompanied by the name, curiously, the only accentuated the word “optics”. It was also used separate text symbol with “G” inside. A brand that lasted until 1997, General Optica decides where a walk towards a new concept of modern and open shop. It begins a process of expansion and remodeling of image in all centers. It creates a new abstract symbol, consisting of three ellipses, and text remains unaccented uppercase, this time in Optima typeface. The importance here comes the color range, a range of bright colors in gradients, conveying warmth, kindness and continuous movement.
And we got to September 2012. A winning brand in cleaning and adapts to current aesthetic power. Memories of previous images, is returned to the resource of the human eye, representing this time with multiple colored circles that overlap to form the human eye gaining size and volume of a simpler form. Also returning in lower case as its first brand, highlighting also capitalized initials text composed by Beau Sans Pro typeface FF amended, also using it in their applications. Regarding the latter mark, continue without emphasizing the “O” and maintain a wide color with touches more softened, as its composition centered.
A brand that is now closer and with more structured forms, touches rounder and care, but without losing their years. What is missing? For a little more distinction and consistency in applications, starting and ending their website for shopping (for now we can not see many applications of the brand, will be watching). Despite risking for change, may not have the power of attraction that we all desire to see new brands bets.
